Volleyball Bounces Back, Sweeps Bevill State
Decatur, AL – The Warhawks bounced back in a big way Tuesday night, sweeping Bevill State 3-0 at home in a competitive match that saw the Warhawks grind out set wins of 25-20, 25-17, and 25-23.
The victory was a gutsy response after last week's setback at Gadsden State, a loss that dropped Calhoun out of the national Top 25 rankings. Against a determined Bevill State squad, the Warhawks held their composure in key moments to secure their 10th win of the season.
"I'm really proud of the fight our team showed tonight," said Head Coach Jaimee Freeman. "Bevill played a great match, and it took a lot of effort and focus from our side to close it out. This was the kind of response we needed."
With the win, Calhoun improves to 10-2 overall. The Warhawks will hit the road next, traveling to Northwest Shoals for a 7 p.m. match on Wednesday, September 17.
