Bio
Andrew Strait joined the Arriaga's staff at Calhoun in spring 2026, bringing a strong background in player development and a championship pedigree at both the club and collegiate levels.
Most recently, Strait coached his squad to an Alabama State Championship at Hampton Cove Soccer Club in Huntsville, Alabama. Known for his attention to detail and ability to develop players at all levels, Strait has quickly established himself as a rising coach in the North Alabama soccer community.
Before entering coaching, Strait enjoyed a standout collegiate playing career. He competed at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for two seasons before transferring to Auburn University at Montgomery, where he played three seasons. At AUM, he served as a two-year team captain and helped lead the program to a conference championship during his captaincy.
Strait was also a decorated player prior to college, earning First Team All-State honors and capturing a Virginia State Championship during his high school career.
A native of South Riding, Virginia, Strait earned both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Information Systems from Auburn University at Montgomery. He currently resides in Madison, Alabama.
