Bio
Skeeter Benford enters his first season on Stephenson's staff at Calhoun, bringing a strong background in both basketball and softball coaching.
From 2023 to 2025, Benford served as an assistant coach for the Hackleburg High School girls’ basketball and softball programs. During his time there, he played a key role in the teams’ success on the diamond, helping guide Hackleburg to a State Runner-Up finish in 2025 and a third-place finish in 2024. His leadership and work ethic were instrumental in the continued growth of both programs.
A 2013 graduate of Phil Campbell High School, Benford earned his associate degree from Northwest Shoals and is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Athens State University. He is a proud father of one daughter and is passionate about helping student-athletes reach their full potential, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and character both on and off the field.
